Bigg Boss is a reality Show and a game which used to come every day on Colors Television. This year Bigg Boss started on September 30th 2019 and ended on 14th February 2020.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.

Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment.

The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces.

You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth.

This virus is fatal; so far no vaccine is known or developed therefore we need to take preventive measures like staying home and avoiding contact with another infectious person.

Bigg Boss is comparable to the Lockdown which is being posed due to the pandemic called Covid 19 as a preventive measure. Like in Bigg Boss, all housemates who are also contestants stay inside the house for a period of time. We all are staying inside our homes and want to defeat Corona Virus.

How similar is Bigg Boss to Lockdown?

The housemates of Bigg Boss are communicated and controlled by Mr. Salman Khan, who is a famous Bollywood actor whereas Mr. Narendra Modi has been controlling the Lockdown events in India. He is the Prime Minister of our country India.

Housemates are supposed to live in the Bigg Boss house for a period of around 3 to 4 months. In the lockdown, the period is not specified and fixed.

While living in the Bigg Boss house, the housemates do the tasks to earn the luxury budget, and save themselves from the nominations for the elimination and for captainship also. There are some games and funny tasks given to them for entertainment.

Other than this they do everyday activities like cooking and cleaning; similarly all the people of India are doing all these in their home during this lockdown.

Now, we are in the phase III of the lockdown.

Why do I like Bigg Boss?

I like Bigg Boss because lots of contestants who make me laugh while doing various tasks. Some of the contestants of Bigg Boss in the year 2019-2020 were Abu Malik, Aarti Singh, Paras Chhabra, Arhan Khan, Shehnaz Gill, Siddharth Shukla, Siddharth Dey, Rashmi Desai, Mahira Sharma Vishal Aditya Singh and Madhurima Tuli.

This year Siddharth Shukla won the Bigg BossMy favourite contestant of Bigg Boss is Shehnaz Kaur Gill because she says “I will flip If I want to”.

Some task they were asked to do were Bigg Boss Dhaba – Home Delivery, Letter tearing of others to become captain for a week which gives them immunity from elimination. Most of the people fight for cooking the food in Bigg Boss’s house because it is a tiring task.

Bigg Boss gives each of them the tasks to do and earn luxury budget also. These generally include some food items like Coffee, Cakes, and Chocolates. Sometimes the inmates are allowed to talk to their family members.

My luxury budget includes using Mobile for calls, chats and YouTube, Having Chocolate and Ice cream, Going out for walk to see Rajdhani express with my Dad, Listening to music on WhatsApp video or YouTube, Watching lifting machine running, Playing music on synthesizer,  Facebook exploring, Getting money from Mom, Play Basketball, Playing tabla, Being praised or appreciated by Vanita aunty and mom, working on Jio internet, Getting good marks by passing NSDC certificate, Doing fitness exercises by cycling, Learning Bollywood and devotional songs on harmonium, Seeing likes on Facebook , Helping mom to wash clothes in washing machine, Visiting our grandparents, Watching reality shows on television.

I get all the above on following my day work nicely.

Bigg Boss is a game but Lockdown is not – How?

In Bigg Boss, as it is a game, where one contestant who survives, liked by all and never get eliminated till the end, becomes the winner.

Elimination is the process which makes one housemate leaves the house every week. Elimination means taking out bad people who misbehave, do not participate in house related activity and create problems. This is done through another process called NOMINATION. The nominated housemates are voted by the public. One who gets the least number of votes; gets eliminated.

During the weekend Salman Khan comes to anchor the show, he talks to the contestants, reprimands/scolds them when they do wrong things.

Lockdown is a temporary condition where entire country men have to stay inside their homes to prevent themselves from Corona Virus or Covid 19. If we all follow the prevention related tasks of lockdown, we will defeat Corona and win a new life.

I enjoyed Bigg Boss because some housemates made me laugh and it was entertaining but Lockdown is difficult as I am not able to do many of my classes, go out and play Basketball,

But hope that it gets lifted and we all live peacefully.

Ujjwal is a twenty four years old young man who is a self-reliant, freelance Graphic Designer. He did Senior Secondary (Std. XII) at The Shri Ram School, Gurgaon, Haryana, India. Ujjwal has done a certificate course on Graphic Designing from NSDC.

Ujjwal is a person with Asperger’s Syndrome. Despite the condition, Ujjwal has done fairly well for himself.

He has an eye for details and looks for perfection. His drawings and sketches give an effect of 3-D perception. This is more obvious through his sketches related to machines and building construction sites. He uses his visual memory to reproduce what he saw on a particular day. He can also make a replica of a given picture. He never uses a ruler and prefer black pen over a pencil

Ujjwal learns better through one on one interaction as he is extremely sensitive to the environmental stimuli; especially sounds. Ujjwal has shown constant progress by developing his social understanding and towards his work. He likes being appreciated and acknowledges the same by doing better work

Looking at the co-morbid condition that he has, family opts for supported livelihood option. At present, Ujjwal is a volunteer graphic designer at The Serrendip – www.serrendipforautism.com.
